Meet Gene Spiegle

Gene is the founder of Office 233 Blog and a retired Professor from Rutgers University; he was the founder and President of an organizational development firm in New Jersey.  Gene has over fifty years of experience in line and staff positions, enabling him to deliver common sense and practical-based perspectives.

Prior to project manager for the United Nations, Gene held positions, as President of an automated systems firm to Vice-President of a Fortune 500 company.  He holds degrees in psychology, engineering, and an advanced degree in psychology.  Gene has been an adjunct professor at several universities and is the author of nine books including the “BUM Book Series.”

Gene is also co-founder and President of “The Pulse Factor,” a consulting firm helping organizations improve their “Performance, Productivity, and Profitability

Meet Bob Stenzel

Bob’s passion and enthusiasm for learning and education are evidenced, for example, by his earning a 4-year

 full scholarship to Case, Western Reserve U., Engineering school; work as a territorial sales engineer helping solve problems; patent Examiner at the USPTO; American University Law Review casenote author and Book Awards recipient; law firm IP prosecutor and litigator of patents; Xerox International IP Counsel in London; co-author of a  U of Washington book on “Patent and Know-How Licensing in Japan and the USA; “; 5-day lecturer to Japan Patent Association in Tokyo; 20 years Chief IP officer at two Fortune 500 companies; long time chair of ABA committee responsible for educating the public on IP;  private consultant on innovation and IP; and 20 year emeritus docent at the Revs Institute auto museum Naples,  FL.

 Sailing and traveling are among Bob’s hobbies.

Meet Bill McLaury

Bill is currently an Associate Professor of Professional Practice and Director, SCM Undergraduate Program – New Brunswick. Bill was executive director of the pharma supply chain for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation for over 30 years before retiring in July 2014. Novartis is one of the largest companies in the world overall and the world’s largest pharmaceutical company by sales at over $58 billion/year. While with Novartis, Bill held a number of supply chain management leadership positions with operational responsibility, both locally and globally, including regional head for North America and global head of pharma supply chain strategy. He also served as the Novartis representative on the Industry Advisory Board for the Center for Supply Chain Management at Rutgers Business School for 14 years and as the advisory board’s chairman for the last five years. Bill is a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), where he is also the education chair for the NJ Roundtable.  He was also an advisory board member for LogiPharma. He continues to be a guest speaker on various supply chain management topics at industry and academic events.

Meet John Kennedy

John is first and foremost a ‘Jersey Boy’, as he has always been proud of his home State and what it actually brings to our country…including significant Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, and R&D capabilities. As an Engineer and NJ Business Owner, John was focused on (both) Engineering & Manufacturing and enjoyed success through working with many incredible individuals. From Coleman Equipment to Sandvik to Barnett Industries to The Multitech Group…all part of my Manufacturing evolution through the Material Handling, Power Plants, and DoD workloads. 

When John came to NJMEP in 2012, he found a place where he could support a critical Industry that means all the difference to our independence as a Country while keeping New Jersey at the forefront of technology. NJMEP is his ultimate ‘fit’ as a professional. John is a proud Eagle Scout and National Distinguished Eagle. NJ Manufacturing…it is our time again! 

Meet Jack Kime

Jack, a West Point graduate, is a Skilled negotiator specializing in consensus-building between competing interests. Implementation of automation to boost productivity and standardize processes. Acquisition management and integration between systems.  He is also a Career Logistician with broad-based experience managing global supply chain activities in wide-ranging business scenarios—an expert in change management and integration of organizations and systems.

Vice President, Ground Services, CEVA Logistics with P&L Responsibility for the Ground business unit in the USA and Canada. Direct management of $150M freight brokerage division and organic 400-truck LTL network

Senior Executive and Board member at Kuehne + Nagel Inc. (North American Operating Company) with P&L responsible for Road and Rail strategy and operations in the US, Mexico, and Canada. Established centralized procurement and management of $250M spend. Conceived and guided extensive change in enterprise-level automation to standardize processes and visibility throughout the North American region.  Instrumental in KN’s entry into Cool Chain activity for the Pharma vertical.

Meet Kathleen Cashman

Kathleen is currently the Professor of Communication and Leadership at Rutgers University– The program was created and executed by her and is considered a premier part of the overall program, of the MBS Internship Course. Kathleen is also a Professional Career Advisor, Industrial Advisory Board Leader, and Executive Coach for the Rutgers Professional Science Master’s Program.

Kathleen is President of Cashman Consulting LLC, a Leadership Development and Coaching Organization, and her branded Coaching is known as “Conversations with Kathleen”. She has been with the organization for over 30 years. Through this role, she interacts with organizations across industry spectrums and at all levels beginning at the top. She has served her clients as an Executive Coach, Leadership Coach, Leadership Development Presenter, Developer, and Project Manager as well as taken on interim senior positions while supporting the recruiting function. Keeping her relevant to her clients resulted in a true trusted advisor.

Meet Jim Mentone

A global supply-chain leader with a distinguished track record delivering customer-centric capability and LEAN business improvements. Extensive MAKE and DELIVER experience within Healthcare, Electronics, Wire & Cable, Building Products, Plastic Extrusion, and Textiles.  Jim is also an Assistant Professor of Six Sigma and Supply Chain Management at Rutgers University.
